Graduates from years gone by

Here's a photo from quite some time ago: The North Wales High School graduating class of 1918.
You can only suppose that the young men of this class enjoyed the fact that they were in the minority; that probably gave them the pick of which lovely young lady they wanted to escort to school events.
Shown in this photo, in the back row from left, are Violet Buck, Hazel Rudolph, Edith Wolfgang and Margaret Schafenacker.
In the front row are George Lukens, Betty Knause, Grace Patterson, Rose Kuhn and an unidentied man.
Could he have been the teacher or was he another student? The photo was submitted by Wendy Warner of North Wales, the granddaughter of Elizabeth Knause (Betty) in the photo, who later became Mrs. R. Johnson, she noted.
